The truth comes out The NZ Jerseys were skewing the results by stopping the high EBI cows eating. πŸ˜‚

Where is the market for 25% organic? If we have to reduce pesticides, can we have access to GM tech? Have we looked at the cost of this plan to fulltime farmers who depend on farming to make a living.

A lot of over and back between those breeds. Could probably use some N Reds but theres plenty of pure Ayrshires available so will stick with them, milk record and see how they go.

Yeah we'll keep them Pure. Used these 2 this year on them. Kept 4 young bulls from this Spring for next year if any demand.

Came as part of a deal with ground. Will keep them at about 10% of the herd. Nice cows. No milk recording this year to see under the bonnet but they look good.

Lucky here so far Catherine. Silage all cut early. After grass got N Sulphur and 10mls rain 10 days ago. Got slurry before that and looks like we'll get 2 weeks out of it. All needs rain but probably 3 to 4 weeks feed on the farm with 4 to 5 kgs meal. πŸ‘πŸ˜Žβ˜€οΈ

Happy from the Churchclara Herd. Background scenery more akin to Spain than Ireland. Still the sun is shining and rain will come again soon.

He has some amount of milk collected over the years when you think about it. Collecting since the churns.

When you pick up fresh milk in the shop today, take a moment to remember where it all starts. On , a shout out to our fresh milk producers who maintain a year-round supply.
