. says it will have a $2.5M budget surplus for the current year and also for 2019. Contributing to '18 surplus was the Amazon video series on the football team, and fans buying season tickets before the federal tax write-off ended, UM says in a statement.

Interesting look at the latest realignment of the Detroit Pistons' front office. Ed Stefanski clearly is in charge and reports directly to owner Tom Gores. Arn Tellem remains a No. 2 reporting to Gores, but has a wider portfolio. Stefanski is just Pistons.

I'm just now catching up to Anthony Lane's erudite erotic fanfic/plain brown wrapper review of "Incredibles 2" in the New Yorker, and the Twitterverse reaction. I'm trying to imagine Harold Ross, Wallace Shawn, Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley reading this.

I did that this week and have regretted it. Turned into a total shitshow, with empathy having a stake driven through its heart. Just brutal and depressing to see the nonsense and lies used as justification.

Yeah, but think of the earmarks and porky budgets and Congressmen rigging future BRAC cycles to protect their Space Force facilities! And the spending on recruitment!
