Absolutely nothing resembling modern-day global warming has happened on Earth for at least the past 2,000 years, Never once until the Industrial Revolution did temperatures surge in the same direction everywhere at the same time. They’re doing so now,

Actually, “seeing pain points & seeking to resolve them” is good advice no matter where your industry is on its present S-curve. Ignoring it can be fatal, however, when a new CX is achievable.

“Realize” is an interesting choice here. Certainly, some people saw the future very vividly, but leadership had many reasons to hesitate. This was not about not seeing the future IMHO

"We're in business to save our home planet. I'm 80 now, and I've been asking myself why I still come to work. It's not to sell more clothes or to make more money. It's because we're destroying the planet, and it's gotten so dire that we have to do something." Chouinard

Depends on your starting point. If you are an auto-maker, Uber may affect your sales, but hasn’t changed your industry. No disruption (yet). If you are a taxi company, however, your CX is being disrupted, & will never be the same, even if Uber fails.

Great question! Not likely that the answer will come from the existing industry incumbents.

Quick punctuation lesson: Hyphen (-): connects two words En-dash (–): indicates a range, e.g. 2–8 Em-dash (—): Ahhh, you seek to understand its ways, weary traveler. Nay, behold! This dash provides to you whichever function you most require. You need only listen as it whispers…
