Of course, nobody wants to pay for something that was working before. My experience has been very positive throughout the years, but I won‘t say there aren‘t companies with similar customer service out there 😝

Good news! My 2012 retina MacBook once had a dead graphics card but it was replaced for free (Logic Board replacement, otherwise ~700$). Still using it almost daily as a secondary computer. I‘m very satisfied with endurance / reliability

You can only open 500 right now. Not that anyone would ever reach that… oops

It‘s the worst UX. I went to GitHub and downloaded a tiny open-source tool to keep my GPU driver up to date instead.

passing suspended=YES does exactly that

That‘s not the correct way to launch an app. One way (probably outdated) is SpringBoard -launchApplicationWithIdentifier:suspended: You probably want to look at BackBoard

I wouldn’t be surprised if by now, a launch daemon did the actual email fetching. Back on iOS 3 the Mail app was among a very tiny list of apps that were allowed to run in the background (to fetch email).

I was thinking of either this tweak or “Sparrow Push” back from 2012: Oh, good times :D

There was a very popular tweak to do exactly this some years ago. I don‘t know the name off the top of my head though

That‘s what I learned as well. „76 höre nix“ doesn‘t translate well however :p
