It‘s the worst UX. I went to GitHub and downloaded a tiny open-source tool to keep my GPU driver up to date instead.

passing suspended=YES does exactly that

That‘s not the correct way to launch an app. One way (probably outdated) is SpringBoard -launchApplicationWithIdentifier:suspended: You probably want to look at BackBoard

I wouldn’t be surprised if by now, a launch daemon did the actual email fetching. Back on iOS 3 the Mail app was among a very tiny list of apps that were allowed to run in the background (to fetch email).

I was thinking of either this tweak or “Sparrow Push” back from 2012: Oh, good times :D

There was a very popular tweak to do exactly this some years ago. I don‘t know the name off the top of my head though

good luck going forward. I used libGDX and RoboVM for a school project 3 years ago, thanks for making that possible 👍

After two semesters of handing in paged PDFs for uni, I realized the paging is completely unnecessary. But in Apple Pages, no way to disable it. I think it can be done in Word.

I would love a ‘digital first’ word processor, like Pages, or Word. But with no concept of ‘pages’ just a continuous flow of text (like a blog page or web page) designed to be consumed on a computer or iPad.

das widerspricht doch den AppStore-Regeln, über andere Wege einen günstigeren Preis anzubieten?
