I think google forms result in a row per form submission, so I’d probably structure it as a set of columns per candidate, plus the extra data requested at each precinct. It would be like 3-4 columns per candidate.
That way each form could be reviewed in total before submission.

Exactly. It would be what, 1,700 rows in the resulting spreadsheet?

I just hate the take that technology is a core solution here.
Paper trails and reams of evidence of votes are so important to the integrity of the system. Integrity is almost the absolute most important thing that elections should provide.

It was pointed out to me that Caucuses are IRL ranked choice events (i.e. the candidates with the least people caucusing for them end up having their folks move over to others).
As such, all the Caucus based states should go directly to Ranked Choice ballots!

The caucuses are a ridiculous system that creates high barriers to entry due to their fixed and excessive time commitments.
People who hold jobs late at night and or have kids should sue to have them ruled unconstitutional given the lack of equal access.

Maybe Iowa should just vote instead of having middle school debates and peer pressure popularity contests.

Maybe the reason so few people rewrite these things in Rust is that in Rust it is made explicit how difficult it is to do correctly. This leads them to realize that perhaps it’s not worth writing a new one where it is hard to get correct.
Thus, we all share more.

I’m a teacher who lives in the east bay and works in Marin. I love the new bike lane. So do several other teachers at my school who use it regularly like myself.

It means I make bad jokes.
Zero waste would mean you don’t need a garbage can because you have no garbage.
And now that I’ve explained it, it’s clear it was a horrible.

I guess I’m an optimist that believes most people when faced with the truth will eventually believe it, but that might make me purely naïve.
Lying in a similar fashion as that which you’re fighting would I think be self-defeating in the long run.
But maybe you’re right.
