It's hard to rebut someone who tells you that you have a "blind spot" on topic X, almost by definition.

PSA for everyone freaking out about this coronavirus:
A country that YouTubed itself into a 21st Century measles outbreak does not get to talk any shit about anyone else's health practices.

Gripping piece of journalism that shines a light on the refugee process in America and the Trump administration’s shameful distortions. And their effort to effectively sentence to death (via extradition) an Iraqi refugee resettled in Sacramento. twitter.com/bentaub91/stat…

Someone said that to me tonight in a meeting. Hard to say no when framed that way.

Ballmer's Microsoft shares were worth $15 b when he bought the Clippers. Today his estimated net worth is over $60 b. Satya Nadella helped him buy him that team many times over. twitter.com/federicoantoni…

This week:
Felicis (formerly known as a seed fund) leads a Series C at $1B+ in Verkada.
USV (formerly known as an early stage fund) leads a Series E in JustWorks.
Early stage firms doing late stage investing; late stage firms doing seed stage investing. Silicon Valley 2020.

Yeah there's a whole set of skills that great moderators have. Keeping the convo flowing, calling on people who may be quieter, cutting people off who are talking too much, switching topics if it's become a bore, wrapping up on time, etc.

Who's the ideal moderator of a roundtable session? Someone who's expert in the topic AND disciplined enough to not turn the session into a Q&A with him/herself. Very rare.
So second best is a moderator who's NOT a topical expert but rather an expert in moderating. (cc: @auren)

Just got an investor update that was organized into three sections:
The Good
The Bad
and
The Ugly
Use of the catch-phrase does create two "bad" sections of news.
How about:
The Amazing
The Good
The Bad
Doesn't quite roll of the tongue but... :)

Maybe so if younger gens aren't given enough info, options and hope for the future. But this conversation demands far more precision and nuance than it usually gets. Evidence overwhelmingly shows that people who make the conscious choice not to have kids have few if any regrets. twitter.com/WilcoxNMP/stat…
