What is the Mad Box? It's the most powerful console ever built... It's literally 'Mad'... You want 4k, you want VR at 60FPS? You want a full engine for free to develop your games on it? You have it.

Shouldn't VR be at 90 FPS?

Wait? that's not right? is it? Isn't it 90 or 120 fps "PROPER"? I swear 60 per eye + re-projection to hit 120fps was the other route.

It's 'right' when your console can run at 120 FPS. We're not playing around here. This is beyond next gen. For too long have subtle iterations been accepted. Time to raise the bar, substantially. :)

If you only want 45 per eye yes. We want 60 per eye.

"VR at 60FPS". That doesn't sound right.

Will it be compatible with existing PC equipment? I am thinking Rift and Vive but also our beloved wheels of course. Also since it is free to develop for... fightsticks for fighting games?

Okay.... Pretty sure the standard for VR is 90 FPS per eye.

Good news: the standard for an actual VR experience is 90FPS. Per eye. Even the HTC Vive, one of the first proper VR headsets, have a 90Hz display. This framerate is where people stop feeling the motion sickness. 60FPS per eye is already a mistake.

Again it isn't. No one is running at 180 FPS...

We were a release product on the Oculus Rift and the Vive. We know what we're doing here.

Didn't question your skills, Ian. Just was honestly surprised as all I know was VR had to be fed with 90 FPS per eye. If I can do with less than more room for eye candy, so no complaints here. :)
