Now, do you mean the Chrome version of Edge or the ... straight Edge?

Had problems syncing updates in this month? lays down some truth on us.

So my outstanding question to that team is 'What exactly are the supported use cases'? It _sounds_ like one of them is using to select/deliver updates and to actually do the installation.

PSA: Remember, DHCP is like _super_ important to have working when trying to PXE boot. Sigh. Hello old friend:

Yea the 'do not install this update' refers to the setting about what to do if the content isn't found. That's seems like a red herring in the docs ... why would that matter or be a requirement?

That'll get interesting permissions-wise but ... ok ... should be possible.

So you'd need to deploy the updates you want to install via first (this is where the docs are wonky: deploy them with a deadline way in the future?) and make sure they appear as needed before did its thing.

I'm nearly positive that using for some updates and for others is not supported/possible. is basically just a script that's going to install updates that the device thinks it needs. It's not configuring the update source/selection for you.

Oh, and I take it you require pre/post script steps to managing the service instead of just leaving that to the reboot process.

Do you still want to use to deliver the updates or can they just point right at ?

Yea, the docs for AzureUM integration with need serious work. I got the Azure UM folks in contact with and to sort it out but I don't think the Azure folks have really made use of that enormous repository of technical info yet. Which is sad.

Not that I've seen though it wouldn't be all that hard I guess. Really, it just comes down to making sure the SSUs released back in March are installed.

I use this one though I can't say I've tried anything other than XML and PoSH:

Friendly PS for those still stuck ... or hanging on .. to Win 7 or Server 2008 for a while longer. If you haven't been paying attention to the below move to SHA-2 your patching isn't going to go so well this month.

It occurred to me just now that this should probably apply to _all_ roles that are now boundary aware (ex. MPs). If they're boundary aware the wizard for creating them should account for it.
