I am not sure there is any severe distinction between science and engineering and math. I think work on control (cybernetics) by electrical engineers in the early days is a good case study showing that if there is a distinction it is narrow.

Thanks for the explanation, do you have an example where it might be something else?

I am confused, those two things should be isomorphic.

Sliced half my fingernail off while making kale salad two days before my proposal document is due. This is going to be a painful two days.

Some things can't be done quantitatively or can't efficiently be communicated quantitatively.

This is not only too weak, it is also wrong. Emergent effects precisely describes the functional aspects. An emergent property is defined as one that cannot be investigated individually or in isolation from the rest of the system. You need the whole composite.

That's only because academics are now expected to be professional typographers in addition to researchers. My grandfather's generation always hand drew diagrams that then where professionally rendered by the journal. (We are also expected to be software engineers but I digress.)

I bought one for myself this past month. My return is being processed today. The size is not big enough for double column papers, support is almost non existent, and some PDFs just render wrong (not the fancy math mind you, random letters within the text). I can't recommend it.

Kalman filtering is (also) used in plane navigation. Could you speak more on your application of a Kalman filter? I am very interested in a categorical formulation of it.

You seem to have some influence and you insist on proposing the wrong solution to this problem. FWIW is supported by the internet archive as well.

French Cat says: "A year that is pronounced vin vin... that's something to drink to, don't you think?" 20 is pronounced "vin" in French, which is the same sound as that for the word wine.

Not sure about quality but what about something from ASEE? I’ve been to one conference with mixed feelings about quality but they seem to also have some journals.

So my aunt designs sky-event calendars every year and distributes them to family members on Christmas. Here are the past two.

Hearing Boris recite Ancient Greek with a bastardized Erasmian/British accent must be one of my worst nightmares I didn't know I had.

I’m not sure what those numbers have to do with anything. I use the internet archive all the time, including in my own website. I merely noted that the internet archive is not the best suited solution for traditional academic writing.

Sure I often take a snapshot with both but still only cite the (small) link, simply because publishing authorities in my field still work with page limits. The long links generated by internet archive are also difficult to deal with typographically.

The internet archive serves a different purpose from keeping a persistent record to the degree that should be enforced by journals or conference proceedings. This is evidenced by the option to remove all snapshots from the internet archive if a website author desires.

I was actually discussing this with Christina, why is that (historically)? To me it's easier to read the category Graph than Grf and I opted to go with the former in my current working paper.
