YOUR GROUP sings, up at BARBARA, in complaint: Don't make fun of me, Barbara, Don't make fun of me! Don't make fun of me, Barbara, (A PARTICULAR ENGLISHMAN (still YOU) emerges from YOUR GROUP, removing his hat, finishing the song solo): Or you'll be hearing from me!

Dream: YOU, a group of identical, incensed englishmen wearing suits with hats, congregate in the street beneath BARBARA's flat. BARBARA looks out over YOU, unperturbed.

I'm super pleased with how this short story came out :) A high-adrenaline techno-athletic somnotica about personal achievement, friendship, and naps

IMO a very interesting work, building a world that gives its inhabitants much more permission to sleep than ours

This was the original example piece I wrote to convey what Somnotica might look like. It's about a sleepy elephant who is wearing sunglasses at all times for somnotic deus ex machina reasons

Re: spoken word recordings, I've heard this idea mentioned by several folks now and it makes me want to try to make it happen, possibly for multiple/all works... Studies in Whatevernessless would both be great as spoken word and a doozy to perform :)

Playing this game is like learning a new language via strict immersion. You start off illiterate and overwhelmed, and gradually work out the (metaphorical) phonemes, alphabet, words, grammar. Even the ultimate goal of the game must be uncovered in this way.

Cops aren't real, folks. This is old news. Spinoza proved the nonexistence of cops. Not a single person I know can honestly tell me that they have personally seen a cop
