Fascinating 24 hours. Met business in Tewksbury last night. Then met fantastic reps from & in Birmingham. Great chats about community, faith & friendship. Now off to to debate whether we need a new political party

If the Tories do choose Johnson or Stewart then FIVE of the last SEVEN male CON PMs would have been educated at Eton

Absolutely. It’s getting weird & frightening. I remember we spoke on about the racism around Meghan Markle & so many people dismissed it as PC gone mad blah blah blah & that we were imagining it...

Tory leadership latest: - Raab says that Stewart's citizen's assembly idea makes him like a "tinpot dictator" - but wants to shut down parliament. - Telegraph warns Stewart may have led a secret double life - but Johnson won't say how many children he has and Raab has an NDA.

A gentle reminder as makes his pitch for compassionate, sensible Conservatism, that he voted against the Dubs Amendment, which offered safe haven to lone child refugees fleeing war in Syria.

This is not my Mary Whitehouse moment. I don’t give two hoots if Johnson has 56 kids. What I care about is why can’t he be honest about something so simple? As a judge ruled re his extramarital child in 2013 - this is a public interest matter when judging fitness for high office
