MULVANEY: "Again, anticipating your questions, how is this this is not emolument violation? Will the president profit from this? The president pretty much made it very clear since he got here, he doesn't profit from being here. He has no interest in profiting from being here."

OMG -- Mulvaney dismisses concerns that Trump is turning the G20 into a branding opportunity: "Donald Trump's brand is probably strong enough as it is. Doesn't need any more help on that. It is most recognizable name in the English language and probably around the world."

"He got over that a long time ago" -- Mulvaney's response to a Fox News reporter raising concerns about the bad optics of Trump holding the G20 at a resort he still owns and profits from is to point out that Trump just doesn't care.

Correction: It's the G7, not the G20

The G7 is held during hurricane season so the optics of this could be terrible on multiple levels

I think the next G7 summit should be held at the peanut farm Jimmy Carter had to give up before taking the oath of office for the presidency.

Mulvaney looks like he's in pain, having to do this. Becoming a trained seal is harder than it looks.

When you suffer from a personality disorder that leaves you without shame or empathy, it’s suprisingly easy to “get over” things.

Correction Trump holding the G7 at his own resort isn’t an optics problem. This is corruption in plain sight, violates the law. An optics issue is when the underlying issue is legal & ethical but because of some factor or another it doesn’t look like it is legal and ethical.
