Want to speed up development? Shorten feedback loops! 1. Design to dev 2. Pushes to deploys 3. Code change to seeing result on the screen 4. Lint to catch errors as you type 5. Empower devs to make decisions then ask for feedback instead of waiting for product 6. Smaller teams

Cloudflare is burying the lede here a bit: they have built a cloud platform that costs a third of what AWS costs and can run any language, by compiling it down to WebAssembly and running it in V8 isolates.

Ideas from Svelte applied to React.js... Compile React Components to native DOM operations to eliminate the react and react-dom runtime. Smaller and faster in many cases. Here is a proof of concept with explanations:

The only reason GraphQL hasn’t taken off like a rocket is the backend devs who don’t understand the mess they make for the front end code and think front end is a lesser form of programming.

👀 It's getting a bit insane with the amount of fake app UI's I've designed just to help explain single concepts in the Refactoring UI book 😅

ok so - I took dan's classes/hooks code from react conf, blacked out the 'unnecessary' bits, then colour coded bits by 'concern'. so much nicer. the effect is amplified in more complex components, where concerns are split and mixed across lifecycle methods.
