If that internal escalation mailing list gets more than 3 mails, I guarantee to the FSM that SOMEONE is going to be freaking-T-F-out. Do you have to follow through with your threat? Maybe. But probably not. Just do it! Costs you nothing!

You: "Are your servers 100% renewable/offset? Even in the zone I'm currently using?" Cloud A Sales Person: "Uhh...." You: "Ok, cool. Tell your execs that they have 36 months to be renewable, or we're moving." *Sales Person mails some internal VP escalation mailing list*

But when you take actions like this sustainable server pledge, it forces a rethink of everything in the supply chain, and makes it possible to reevaluate existing power sources.

No, seriously. Why don't we get 10M cars and tear down every single power plant. We'll charge every car from the output of the other cars. We only need to charge every car once when it leaves the factory and then it works forever!

How about we scale these up! Let's hook every car's cigarette lighter to the grid, and power the enter world, for free! This truly is the idea that has no holes whatsoever.

Interesting tool for cross-phone AI benchmarking. I strongly suspect benchmarks like this are critical for next evolution of frameworks & AI. Just like 3DMark or Spec95 helped standardize GPUs & CPUs (and C libraries, to a lesser degree) -
