The 172,000 people that voted in Iowa caucus represent only 12% of registered voters in Iowa & .07% of US electorate. Time to abolish the caucus.

52 GOP Senators who represent 18 million fewer people than Dems/Romney, in a body where Wyoming has 68 times the voting power of California, blocked impeachment of president who lost popular vote by 2.9 million. American democracy is badly broken

This can't be repeated enough. As Romney told : "Corrupting an election process in a democratic republic is about as abusive and egregious an act against the Constitution—and one's oath—that I can imagine. It's what autocrats do.”

Romney: "It was a flagrant assault on our electoral rights, our national security & our fundamental values. Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of one's oath of office that I can imagine.”

Romney makes the most essential point about impeachment: "Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of one's oath of office that I can imagine."

Doug Jones prosecuted killers behind 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. He knows what it means to be on the right side of history

Let me know when Pelosi asks Russia to hack her opponent’s emails and then demands Ukraine investigate her top political rival to get military aid

This stat from is really eye opening: "it only takes 43 participants in tiny Fremont County to win a delegate from a caucus, but in Johnson and Story counties, which both host state universities, it takes more than 200."

Something to keep an eye on: right now Bernie is leading popular vote but Pete has higher percentage of delegates. Like Senate & Electoral College Iowa caucus gives higher % of delegates to small rural counties compared to large urban ones

Between the undemocratic nature of the caucus, the incompetence of election officials and the lack of racial diversity, there is no way Iowa should go first again

After sham impeachment trial in Senate with no witnesses, why did Pelosi invite Trump to give State of the Union? Why aren't more Dems boycotting? This is total asymmetric warfare

Why does Iowa, a state that's more than 90 percent white, still hold so much sway in our national elections? gets into the weeds, along with (on the ground) and (in the numbers) as tries to sort it out.
