Had a philosophy prof who solved this with "I sell life insurance." Apparently reliably avoided learning about people's "philosophy of life".

Well, ok, it is true that the formal requirements had not been worked out in literature. But there were plenty of casual descriptions of threat models without even a shallow response by the industry. (Reliving that now w/ IoT)
