I am a Pentecostal Christian, no longer following the radical teaching, but she was not just speaking metaphorically. She is simply using the most manipulative vernacular possible to shock and draw in the audience, already rapt with her speech. This is dangerous rhetoric.

The number of people who actually believe in this rubbish makes me fear for the human race. Is it the fear of irrelevancy during life and nothingness after death that fuels it?

In other words, a bunch of superstitious nonsense, but nonsense we have to consider because millions of people take it waay too seriously. I'm still not sure mockery & derision aren't the correct response.

No, thanks, I'll pass. I'm still smarting from all those millions who perished to hunger in SE Europe ~87 years ago while I head down to the kitchen for some hot coffee and a nice breakfast.

It’s actually a helpful perspective on why what she’s saying doesn’t mean what the plain language says about satanic pregnancies. And does NOT pander to her at all. In fact - it calls her out quite sharply.

Yes - I RT’d this one, too. It’s an incredibly helpful perspective of this brand of Christianity, without pandering to her damaging rhetoric.
I appreciate @DavidAFrench’s ability to cut to the heart of what I need to know to separate the truly important from needless drama.
