Which is also like super weird since American is gender neutral but yet they’re not getting worked up about it.

This author had to publish her essay anonymously because of threats of reprisal by her ex. It's a powerful piece about the struggle to write as a woman, as a mother, and as the wife of another writer who is jealous of your success. On .

It's also just funny. I'm trying to figure out exactly what in my tweets makes it "SJW stuff" -- If SJW = calling you on your BS or just that I used logic?

LOL, ok, Abby. You're the one who won't give it a rest, but as soon as someone uses logic you gotta deflect. Typical. And your casting me as an SJW doesn't work on me. 1) It let's me know exactly where you're coming from 2) it's funny cuz it's like you think justice is bad

Um, yes, you did. This statement right here is casting yourself as a victim of a non-existent situation: "Apparently, I'm a racist reader because I only read Historical Romance set in Regency England. I'm tired of all this nonsense!"

No one has said you’re a racist for reading historical romance but nice job in trying to distort an important issue to make yourself into a victim.

I can’t see it as she blocked me because.... she didn’t like the true statements I delivered in replies to her nonsense, even though I did it NICELY

No one’s trying to manufacture a larger market. And Milan didn’t call Davis a racist. She said the book was racist. And she had every right to. The problem was how Davis/Tisdale reacted.

It was only THEN that Milan joined the discussion, pointing out another editor of Tizdale’s problematic book. Tizdale and Davis had a choice then: Listen and hear the issues and address them or throw a hissy fit and leverage the weight of RWA to silence Milan for daring to speak

In case it’s the former: systemic racism is real. When a group of ppl questioned the hiring choice of an editor with a history, that publisher dropped that editor. Then, OF THEIR OWN ACCORD Tizdale inserted herself into the convo because she also had that editor on staff.

Ah. I see you. Do you honestly believe what you’re saying here or are you purposely twisting and hijacking the the issue in order to convince people systemic racism isn’t an issue in order to protect the status quo you enjoy?
