The website owner installs these buttons because they are free, and might help other people to find out about their site. But the company providing the buttons is selling the website owner's audience under the table.

Friends, I’m making a change, and looking for my next gig. A senior/tech lead role somewhere that’s trying to improve the world. Python/PHP, semantic HTML, accessibility, performance, all that jazz. If you know me, you know. Oxford or remote. Who should I be talking to?

I'm a software engineer, DevOps type of human who is moving to Bristol at the beginning of March and I'm looking for a contract role there. I have virtually no work related contacts in Bristol, so retweets would be appreciated...

I love hearing other languages being spoken in the street, whether it's Welsh or Arabic or whatever.

Quick Q - in this test the web fonts get an IDLE priority at 3G speeds but HIGHEST at 3G Fast and above I know Chrome's loading process changes to be more HTTP/1.1 like at lower speeds but is this expected behaviour?

Odgovor korisniku/ci @LoukilAymen
The server seems to just respond in the order it receives requests so ignores priorities completely

This page doesn't use preload It could do but then something else will get delayed, could also use font-display property But they should both be treated as optimisations rather than work-arounds for broken behaviour

And the reason priorities matter in HTTP/2 is because browsers (esp. Chrome) expect servers to respect them In this example, because the server ignores priorities the high priority fonts get stuck behind lower priority images

Added to results on Unfortunately it's HTTP/2 prioritisation is non-existent / broken.

Unfortunately seems a long and lonely road… Looks like ’s h2 prioritisation is a pathologically broken like ’s too

And to be fair et al do seem to be doing some of the work e.g. support in TLS1.3, it’s just adoption of important standards is patchy e.g. OCSP, 0-RTT etc.
