"Favor declarative and imperative titles for notes"
It's a glorious thing when you realize after writing about something for a while what the note should be named
Don't be afraid to rename
My favorite takeaway from a great talk with @andy_matuschak

Andy has a note called
"Favor Declarative or Imperative Titles for Notes"
Which holds his thinking on why this is or isn't a good idea

Was saying to Andy that this is one of the most impactful upgrades to my notes.
There’s a few other upgrades like
- using positive note titles as opposed to negative ones.
- note titles are like (or, have potential to be) APIs.
Thanks for all the above, Andy!

Have been exploring a very similar theme in my own work. Would like to develop a theoretically-grounded account of good principles of individual note design, something I haven't seen so far in Zettelkasten lit (other than the principles of compactness and connectedness).

Love this! Here's something I wrote in a Roam Slack thread about frustration with "How to take smart notes" and "How to read a book: pic.twitter.com/M57B5GRRbn

Re: positive framed note titles.
I loved an exchange between @round and @Acuity_Design and wanted to make a note of the heuristic they brought up.
