I honestly didn't expect Marriage Story to hit me as hard as it did.

I had ONE YEAR where I went on a The Smiths binge and now they're my artist of the decade 🙄🙄🙄 Chris Carrabba deserves better than that.

Terrence Malick is the director of the decade and it isn’t really that close. I am not a religious person and pride myself on paying attention to film from outside North America but sometimes you have to call things as they are.

This is literally every company whose goal is to make money. If you feel that strongly about it then sure, you do you. But you are now making it about you and your ethical code and not about supporting artists in the modern age.

No I got you. My main point was that people keep saying not to use Spotify and just buy music directly which I don't understand when you can do both. And you can give artists TWO sources of income.

Maybe they don't know where to buy your music? A lot of classical/etc music has a problem with marketing the music as a *product* for people to buy.

I mean essentially what you are asking is if anyone buys music anymore. Which the answer is yes. People hardly listen to the actual thing they bought though. Spotify is much more convenient.

Simplistic and naive take. Beyonce and Taylor Swift can pull that off. You're kind of unnecessarily shooting yourself in the foot otherwise.

Remembering the time someone told me they store all of their music in Google Drive and listened to it there instead of streaming... Like a fucking psycho.

What if I told you you can buy an artist's album directly AND listen to them on Spotify?? These are not exclusive acts.
