is a great way to have access to interesting wines from small independent wineries. It's like an online version of a cool indie wine shop.

But did the dealer blame the oil leak on the aftermarket sound system?

Really nice Dolcetto from tonight. Red fruit, sweet spice, and a little earthiness. makers are doing great things with Italian grape varieties.

Today’s : Spy Rock! A blend of Petite Sirah, Cab Franc, and Tannat from the Texas High Plains. We picked up this bottle at their amazing estate tasting room in Stonewall.

We’ve really enjoyed wines across the board, including this bottle of Turnrow we had recently!

With this wine I found the volume in my glass decreased faster than at the rate I was drinking it. My prevailing theory is my wife had something to do with it.

Found a stack of Vin Gris De Cigare at The Woodlands . Had to pick up a bottle after my visit to the mothership in Davenport this past May! Just a tinge of pink in the glass. Picking up strawberry, white peach, orange rind, floral, minerality!

What a fun read! It's nice seeing a wine book that's more about the people that want to enjoy wine and not just the wine itself.

You’re welcome! Finishing it off today. Acidity mellowed a bit more and a more defined herbal flavor showed up! I have another bottle I plan on laying down for a while.

Opened this Mourvèdre last night. Lots of red fruit and bright acidity stood out then. Tonight I’m getting a lot of cocoa mid-palate with some meatiness on the finish. These wines that evolve over the course of a few nights are a lot of fun.
