Universal adoption of WeChat means everyone is familiar using the software, so there's little education barrier in an emergency like this. The amount of data-sharing is likely reassuring for people not used to this much transparency from their government.

The Health app had a little red dot this morning, letting me know there were updates I didn't download the Health app. It's one of several default mini-programs in WeChat Wallet. Basically everyone in China has WeChat, so everyone has the Health app.

Interesting to see how workplace apps in China respond to the corona virus Work is touting its remote work features and, like rivals Alibaba DingTalk and Bytedance Lark, released app updates to help companies track epidemic exposure as employees return from holiday

You can't possibly believe that a sincere concern for corruption is what motivated Trump's behavior. You're a god damn Senator. Please stop regurgitating talking points and give this trial it's due seriousness.

Italians love dipping biscotti in their coffee so much that, over time, the selection pressure on the cookie genotype has resulted in this nearly perfectly adapated phenotypical expression.

Very few companies would give so much equity to employees that they would have any influence. Also relevant are class of shares, use of restricted stock units, and whether shares have voting rights. For private companies, rare that many decisions would require shareholder vote.

You are right; an important distinction. Different cases, but I am suspicious of any company that gives so freely of its own equity. At some point you have to wonder if, internally, they place a different value on their own stock than the public.
