8 hours later look what Brittany did. Fantastic! Follow Britanny and commission her as did and many others! Help Brittany continue Classics and literature studies!

Bronze/Iron & Mycenaean/Minoan specialists: 1) what are the usual dates given these days for Bronze Age, Iron Age, Minoan rise & fall, Mycenaean rise & fall? 2) Other than 1177 BC (love your book, !) what other recent articles or books are fun & cover similar era?

Am I going to use it? I will move some lyres over, then yes! 😁 I realize I write with the harp (in music room) & write with lyre on my bed, which makes me not sleep. This might help— work/sleep space a little bit differentiated. Just a bit. 😁

Mum reminded me that she had twice offered me the desk but I said no. I said yah that makes sense. I didn’t need it, then.

My paper was basically ending with: I have no idea. Anyone out there, and other disciplines who have similar cultural goddesses, especially born from Memory? Aaand also do you know any other goddess granted Ocean, Underworld, Sky AND Man’s dominions as Hecate in Theogony?

I read it slowly, again, remembering stuff... But here’s the thing: Who were Hesiod’s Heliconian Muses based on?! Boiotian? Near Eastern? West helped, but I’m hoping there’s been more research on who Hesiod was writing about?! And... what’s up w powerful goddess Hecate?!

In grad school, in a traumatic trimester, I took Hesiod’s Theogony, wrote paper on Muses. Prof wasn’t into it, so I wrote to ML WEST. Started a correspondence. 😊 Never had chance to visit him. 😞 Lost book, forgot content for many yrs (told you I was traumatized!). Found it, 1/2

Nothing wrong with red figure style! Anyway, just Hesiod’s account. 😊

Britanny, in Theogony, Zeus’s third bedmate, Eurynome, daughter of Ocean, was mother of the Graces. Dunno if that helps, but I always pictured them next to the um... ocean. 😊
