is certainly a great disaster. But yesterday, one of my first thoughts was about the , which we know as a ruin but had been in use for more than 2000 years before the explosion disaster. Great buildings stay great, even in ruins.

What happened at Norte Dame reminds me why I am doing what I am doing. We try to use ML to preserve information in ancient books. In Japan,it’s critical because most people can’t read 1000 years amount of books anymore. Disaster happens. We don’t know when and where.
