Perron-Frobenius is fundamental for the study of Markov chains (convergence toward the stationary distribution) … and Sinkhorn’s algorithm (which is a non-linear extension).

Our new paper: Large Memory Layers with Product Keys We created a key-value memory layer that can increase model capacity for a negligible computational cost. A 12-layer transformer with a memory outperforms a 24-layer transformer, and is 2x faster! 1/2

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the first layer of the query network has size in O(d) (ie dxd_q). Isn't that a bottleneck for large d? I've only had a quick look so I may have missed something. I'll get back to it monday morning. Cheers.

Why are you using "only" two key subsets? Is it because the tradeoff is not good if you increase subsets with smaller d_q?
