Nothing shows what the POTUS and the czars behind the breakfast actually think about real faith communities like the 2018 Tax Bill which cut taxes for the wealthy while doubling the tax burden of churches and charitable orgs.

The threat of national gangs has declined, and gang activity overall has fallen sharply since the 1990s. Still, fear tactics have led to tough-on-crime policies that hurt Black communities.

Most convictions remain on a person’s record long after sentences are completed, creating barriers to employment & housing. Excited to support ’s clean-slate bill to help people w/ criminal histories support their families & contribute to our state’s workforce.

Today, the House will vote on the to safeguard the right to organize while punishing violations of workers’ rights. This bill would play a big role in pushing back against the anti-union playbook implemented by special interests.

Again and again, the Torah commands us to welcome the stranger and remember that we too were once strangers in the land. Instead, the Trump administration has put kids in cages, separated families, dismantled asylum, barred immigrants based on religion and gender, and more.

As a Christian, it's upsetting to see how my faith is being used to harm & further marginalize others. Trump & others using Religious Liberty in this way do not get to dictate what it means to be a Christian in this country. Faith is meant to bring us together, not tear us apart

As a Jewish American, I am disgusted that Donald Trump peddles in anti-Semitism, giving rise to an increase in hate crimes in the U.S., while also scolding American Jews for not supporting his and Netanyahu’s morally bankrupt Middle East policies.

The Presidential Transition Enhancement Act is part of the For the People Act of 2019 () President Trump should sign this immediately.

Huge thanks to , and the late , who introduced the bill to ensure the government is focused on public interest during transitions from one presidential administration to the next, not just on issues raised by special interest lobbyists.

As a Christian, I believe in the Bible’s call to do justly, love mercy, & walk humbly with God. That’s why I’m constantly trying to understand how an administration bent on obstructing justice & eroding democracy is allowed to hypocritically claim to speak for people of faith.

“As a deacon, I believe strongly that eroding women’s dignity and autonomy by denying them access to health care is inconsistent with our call to show love & compassion for all people.”- Jocelyn Frye, Senior Fellow, Women's Initiative

My faith emphasizes redemption AND the moral imperative to pursue justice. Criminal justice reform that focuses only on second chances but fails to correct injustices and fight oppression is therefore an unacceptable half measure.

I am a Muslim and I believe that refusing to serve people because of who they are is wrong. But that’s exactly what Trump is doing to LGBTQ people, religious minorities, and others across the U.S.

As a Jew, I am horrified by Trump’s claims to address anti-Semitism while emboldening the violent white supremacy that has led to an uptick in violence against Jews. Just last month, the White House extended press credentials to an openly anti-Semitic news agency.

As a young Baha’i, I follow Bahá’u’lláh’s belief that “the earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens.” The inhumane immigration policies Trump enforces through the Muslim Ban and detaining children in cages at the border contradicts my commitment to human rights.

Seven children have died in Trump’s border facilities. Two were 16, and the others were 10, 8, 7, 2, and 1. As a Catholic, I am horrified that Trump allows innocent children to die on his watch. No Christian can in good faith support his murderous policies.
