A6: Did I mention ? 😉 Watch on to get your home life in order. Her folding method is 🔥. On the technology front: keeps my tasks organized, keeps my life organized. And the podcast.

A6 Before you buy or do anything, ask yourself, what is your goal? An organized space? Fewer things? Organizing can be overwhelming. Having that goal reminds U what you’re working towards & keeps U motivated if and when you get crazed during the process.

Q6 Another great book: “What your clutter is trying to tell you” by Kerri Richardson

A6 I find that I get a lot more done on my bigger organizing (and purging) projects if I have ACCOUNTABILITY... if not a friend or partner, I recommend hiring someone by the hour from to help you stay on task!

A5 Because life gets in the way. We get busy & tired & don’t have time 2 put stuff away. Don’t beat yourself up. Put it in on a chair. Then when you have time, put it where it belongs. Then go eat some ice cream

I think there’s investment in organizing/tidying. So if others in the house aren’t involved, they don’t feel as bad if it’s not maintained. I also think it takes time to change your habits to be a “clean/tidy as you go” vs rush and think “I’ll do it later”

A5: It’s likely because we haven’t really found an order that we’re comfortable with or true space for whatever we’ve straightened or decided to keep. If it’s a rush job, or we haven’t figured out a system that truly works, it won’t stick.

Q5 Why do some people (or you) find it hard to maintain an organized space after the initial "tidying up?" (retweet this prompt to bring more people into the discussion)

Q4 I don’t have an organization routine, but there are usually small things I organize every week- a drawer, computer files, the fridge and pantry etc but as soon as something big stresses me out (closet or toy room) gotta tackle that mess! ✨💪🏼

A4 We just did a major purge in our home and hired an interior designer. Now that it's complete (and so so satisfying) I feel like just cleaning up after myself and staying on top of clutter is all it takes.

A4 My system: create a “home” for everything I own (socks have a drawer, Band Aids go in one tote, bills to be paid go in one spot, etc.) then it keeps my space organized & easy 2 maintain.

A4: I organize/purge quarterly, but because my lifestyle is fast paced, I focus on a different area each quarter: digital (files, groups, email lists), clothes/shoes (to donate), people (because that’s important too), and miscellaneous organization.

Q3 I also appreciate the functionality of other family members or guests knowing where everything is w/ labels. I’m a big fan or chalk labels!

A3 When your home is organized and tidy... ✔️ Your head feels clearer ✔️ Your energy feels lighter ✔️ Your creativity soars ✔️ You make more money (well, I always make more money after tidying up)
