Mandingue musical instrument of the Month: The Boté Played with a wooden stick accompanied by a bell in the other hand. It is a typical instrument played by the Soussou people of Guinea, and replaces the Doundoumba in rhythms like "Guine Fare / Yoki"

Check out the Mandingue of the Month: The Plani Bala: This five-headed drum has four small djembes attached around a larger djembe. Only played by hand, tuned just like a Djembe. It originated from the Guerze people, in the forest regions of Guinea (West Africa).
