Currently, Maryland coordinates with Virginia, DC, and North Carolina. However, officials in western Maryland near the West Virginia and Pennsylvania border want to coordinate with those two states as well. 8/

Slaughterhouses are outbreak hotspots around the country. The governors of Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware recently sent a joint letter to the Centers for Disease Control to request help, which sent teams to help. 9/
