Can someone’s please explain to me why people working "essential jobs" are only paid minimum wage and don’t have health insurance? They should all earn a livable wage if their job is so “essential” to our society.

I’m not suggesting eminent domain, but the owner voluntarily making the unused property available. (Though in this case, the owner already agreed to share part of the property with the public as part of the purchase agreement for the old state asylum land & buildings.)
