The Olympic Committee is banning protests at the 2020 Olympics. It says "political, religious or racial propaganda" like armbands, kneeling or raising a fist will not be allowed at games or medal ceremonies because "sport is neutral."

I'll never forget how they didn't allow the Spanish Olympians to wear a black ribbon or armband in honour of those killed in a plane crash. It wasn't political: it was pure decency and the OC banned them. They are horrible.

I think The Olympic Committee is abusing "Neutral " this adjective. Being neutral doesn't mean that you have to turn the blind eyes on humanity, justice and freedom which have been being suppressed by CCP obviously for a long time.

no offense to you but at this rate and with so many people already divided why not just enjoy a moment of sport and forget all the nonsense of fighting the system. Some just want to see a game not every 2 sec an athlete that wants everybody to see he is fighting the system

I'm probably like 1000% more sympathetic to (some) institutional & personal aspirations to neutrality/objectivity/etc. than you. But the IOC is fucking terrible on most counts. So safe bet this exemplifies "we're neutral!" as disingenuous camouflage for bad politics.
