Thanks for all the work you do to spread knowledge and your experience - honestly it’s some of the hardest work out there, & it takes such a huge amount of empathy with end users to write meaningful examples & docs. Please, keep it up 🙂

Kubectl plugin ecosystem is finally gaining momentum! Krew is now getting 2-3 new plugin submissions every week. I think the `krew` plugin manager () we developed, and some articles I wrote () might be behind this sudden uptick?

I don’t understand anything from these sentences. Do you have a problem with the concept of “microservices architecture” in general?

Awesome! I have a feeling like you wrote your own table writers etc. I tried to highlight in my tweet you should use as we're trying to advocate for plugins that "look and feel" like kubectl. reinventing table printers or -o/--output flags is not ideal.

Hi, the author here. I wonder what makes you say that. Every part of this app works with both locally or on another cloud provider than GCP. It uses open-source technologies, half of it is governed by a neutral body like CNCF.

Not familiar with the concept. But we have some plans to allow generic exporters with OpenCensus tracing.

Yes, the readme says: The demo app works both locally on your machine, as well as a Kubernetes cluster on Google Cloud Platform. I'll edit it so there's no room for confusion.

^ I’ve been leading the development of this for the past 8 months and it’s been an absolute delight to see so many Googlers reusing this app not just for public demos, but also for themselves to learn cool new tech.

We’ve published `krew`, a plugin manager for kubectl, almost a month ago. It now has 400☆ on GitHub, and 25+ plugins are already distributed via Krew: 💎 In this thread, I’ll show some cool kubectl plugins that you can install via krew:
