Good question, I don't know much about this as I said. I recommend referring to the repo and/or opening an issue to ask about this.

This is super cool. I'm curious if the step 10 ("serverless jenkins") box in the diagram is just stuff launched by the Knative build initContainer, or do you run something different in that box?

I am no expert at this or Java but it looks like: 1. You don’t need to know docker 2. Not limited to Maven. Looks like spotify has another repo with the same name that’s completely different, it’s better to try all and decide.

Java team at Google has been up to some crazy work with “Jib”. This tool lets you package java apps into containers without writing any Dockerfiles. I don’t use Java much, but curious to hear your thoughts. Here's a blog post about it:

Have you tried dried persimmon? Tastes like a dried apple pretty much. They’ve got some at the 3rd floor mk.

Just learning this: 3.4 Raft implementation will add a “learner” role in addition to leader and follower. Learners are for new nodes, they don’t change quorum size (and their votes won’t count) until they’ve caught up with leader’s logs –then they can be promoted!

Hard to answer. This is a new concept. See git plugins for similar patterns.

We as Google are working on the project for now. There's an open KEP proposal to donate it to kubectl. We're hoping to progress on that soon. DM if you're interested!

I'm doing regular searches on github to spot plugins and actively reaching out to people to bring their plugins to our platform. We're currently dogfooding.

Yes, according to my understanding. NEGs are very new and it will take some time for it to come to Ingress controller probably.

Kubernetes networking on GKE just improved a lot.🤯 GKE can now directly route connections from load balancers to the pod IPs without bouncing it from node to node using iptables magic. Read more about this:

I learned the hard way that gRPC doesn’t depend on protobuf and can work with other IDLs/formats.
