How long before, as fun as they may be, people stop pretending Memoji look anywhere near enough like them to be suitable avatars?

Professional cornhole is being televised in this restaurant. So, anyway. Professional cornhole is a thing.

At least I can ID the intent now. I’m temporarily working around by storing context info in a shared App Group.

I’m not getting the custom userActivity still, getting a userActivity with a type matching the intent name. It has an INInteraction, which contains the intent, but not the response - so still no useful context information.

I’m that guy. I’m not a compass, but have a natural sense of magnetic North and just think in directions that way. The places I dislike most in the world are ones that disorient my sense of North like casinos and IKEAs.

Not that exciting, but the first background-enabled custom intent Shortcut is running in a Drafts beta.

That’s only true for some intents and response codes. For example, the INCreateNoteIntent discards the user activity if .success is called. Strangely, tapping on the classic Siri UI for that intent opens the app with an INSearchNoteIntent with no params…not the one you create.

Waiting at the AT&T store to activate a line. What's the over-under on number of other things they will try to sell me?

No, it’s not. Since Citizens United it in no way reflects the far more influential and disproportionate dark money flow.

Can we please stop treating the amount of money raised by a political campaign as a measure of its legitimacy?

That’s what I’ve found, and it just launches the app without passing the NSUserActivity. Radar time, I guess.

Caught up over the weekend and really enjoyed all of the App Store 10th coverage on last week, definitely worth a review if you missed some of it…

LT: Should there be a way to tap on a custom SiriKit IntentsUI panel and open the app? I would expect it open the app and pass my NSUserActivity, but it does not.

I'd like to humbly suggest all removed confederate monuments in Texas be replaced with ones honoring Willis Carrier, the father of air conditioning.
