I could see some small companies still wanting to go to conventions like NAB because they see it as legitimatizing their business. ‘We are successful enough that we *can* afford to go to NAB’. And then once you get big enough you can afford to *not* go to NAB. 😜

Didn’t this happen 10-15 years ago? Lots of big conventions downsized and some companies pulled out, but then ppl realized that face to face is nice and there was a rebound after 1-2 years.

Survivorship Bias doesn't get talked about nearly enough, even though it can color any aspect of our lives (personal, financial, career, mental health, etc.,). Here is a short but sweet article on it.

Here's the Wiki for the Manhattan Institute think tank. It's a conservative/right leaning org (but not in the FOX News kind of way). They also have a publication called City Journal.

Dream Theater, Mars Volta, Queensrÿche, Blind Guardian (yes, I’m including Power Metal as a natural progression of Prog).

My tendency is towards working from selects timelines, but in Avid I work more from bins because of the timeline limitations. In PPro though I’ll use the ‘pancake’ method with all of my selects timelines located above my working timeline and I’ll pull down what I need.

Out of curiosity, where have you thought of moving? The only place we (me & the fam) consistently land on as another place we'd like to live is CO, but the cost of living in the greater Denver is rising a lot and isn't as cheap compared to LA as I thought it would be.

With that being said, I'm more than supportive of the CA DOJ investigating the oil companies for illegal behavior such as price fixing, price gouging, etc., which the CEC was not qualified to investigate for while making their report to Newsom. 2/2

Even 20-ish years ago gas was always much higher than, say, the Midwest. Not many refineries make the cleaner burning gas CA requires (and no other states use it) so, much liker theater patrons wanting refreshments, we are a captive audience and the product is priced as such. 1/2

What rarely gets mentioned in this type of discussion is that the number of seats in the House was capped nearly a century ago which means the lower pop states have a disproportionately large number of House seats and electoral college votes.

Yeah, he was definitely a late bloomer in terms of character development. Totally work the wait though.
