Recall: was serving 13 years, while it was who was sentenced to 8 years during the 2011 trial. Both were arrested after meeting representatives of Amnesty International. Olbana remained in jail when Bekele was released in April 2015.

From female prisoners: Emawayish Alemu is released today. Emawayish was serving life in prison since 2008 after being accused of participating in a coup attempt to overthrow the gov. She was the 22nd defendant with Gen. Tefera Mamo, who were accused of being members of G7.

Female prisoner: Chaltu Takele. She was first arrested when she was a 2nd year sociology student in AA University & was sentenced to 12 yrs. She served 8 years and was free. Few months later Chaltu was re-arrested in 2017 & charged with terrorism accused of being member of OLF.

Unexpected: Okello Akway Ochalla, human rights defender and advocate. He is a citizen, Ethiopian by birth. He was detained in South Sudan, renditioned to Ethiopia in March 2014 & Charged with terrorism and was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2016. pic:
