more money can come out of the woodwork if the price is right. "market sell" stocks, bonds, property etc. and you can bridge things with margin, perps to give time for sales/wires

Minor coding artefacts like the 0 are hardly a design defect. From a distributed systems perspective, many things are quite well designed in Bitcoin. Many things are quite badly designed in eth: race conditions, IO inefficiency, fragility, security, code analysis are exacerbated.

Many of these chains have various glaring security and design defects. So critique on lack of tech merit is not unwarranted. And they are massively hyped and mostly used for negative sum ponzis with financial losers. So then we get back the "friendly scammer" vs "toxic ethics".

People could be more constructive it's true - "buy my shitcoin" wears some down over time. Those who don't see, or think it's all a fun experiment, maybe they think observing unethical and scammy aspects of pre-mines is "hostile" - where it is public interest consumer protection.

I think you may have a wrong impression about how open source companies work. It's not an environment where what people say about bitcoin in their free time is "policed". FWIW I did tell some of the eth founders what was wrong with eth before they implemented anything.

It's not strong critique. He did mastering bitcoin a long time ago. Many thought that was a bad idea then also. People can be mixed, have strengths and weaknesses, good parts and bad. Most people are. Work with what you can.

Some are good at explaining and selling tech. Evaluating tech and market ethics are different skill sets. Some can do one but not the other, no doubt many are well meaning. Even if OneCoin funded top a researcher who found highly useful research results. Would you name associate?
