The lack of mental health provision in this country is scandalous. We often struggle to find youth psychiatric intensive care unit beds in the whole of the UK. Sending every child to CAMHS isn't the answer. We need to support mental health both social and clinically

Really interesting small-scale research projects from the . One on ‘vocabulary banking’ - that improved reading comprehension; another on ‘knowledge organisers’, which saw pupils who didn’t use knowledge organisers perform better.

I used Peter Kay’s stand up sketch about hob nobs being more resilient than rich tea when dipped. If all students are as resilient as a hob nob they will be far more successful. I used the YouTube clip and it went down very well with both students and staff
