Ok we got him on board and everyone clapped. I shall approve of clapping on airplanes for this once

My flight stopped lift off when it was already on the runway so it could go back at a *different* gate to pick up one guy who's late. I can only dream to be that important one day

Controversial opinion of the day: Java-style OOP inheritance is an antipattern and should never be preferred over plain composition. Pure interfaces used as traits are ok, though.

Just compare how fast the battery on Androids vs iPhones runs out when sitting idle doing nothing... Androids constantly do "stuff" whatever that is, and I wasn't happy with that.

Nah, it's not. On iOS it's actually impossible to do the level of background spying that Facebook and Uber and Google itself do... Android is simply much less secure by default and it's no fun to have to be scared that any new torchlight app steals all my contacts.

Plus even on the XL you only get updates for 2-3 years, app support is not as good, and iPhones opened up a lot themselves. I loved Android but it's hard to deny it went downhill real hard.

As a developer, that's just Google marketing. It used to be true but Google has locked anything useful in the Google Play Services, you can still customize like 4 widgets but so can scammers (and Facebook) so Androids get crammed full of spyware in a month.

I wouldn't call getting a camera that's 2% worse a "massive mistake", plus the X has the 2x zoom camera that is incredibly useful, and the XL doesn't have that.

Orrrr it's really goot at extracting really little value from millions of people automatically. That interpretation of capitalism was good when we were selling shoes and carriages, I really think it's awful when considering infinitely copiable services based on behavior science.

I play the game but I don't get to spend the money they make, tell me why I should care if it sells well and I hate it? :P
