This is alarmist bullshit. The tl;dr of your article is that you think marijuana comes along with guns and crime. Well, you wrote it 3 years ago -- how many of your neighborhood's children have been shot as a result of legal marijuana farming?

You know I'm on your side for the TSA issue. But the citizen's arrest part just isn't so. From the Meyers case you just cited, "an officer may decline to take a suspect into custody under [California law] if he finds no grounds for the complaint."

The police are not required to accept custody. They are free to laugh and tell you "no." Citizen's arrests are generally a bad idea unless you have been legally trained and are willing to risk a fight.

NZ "Chief Censor" Bans Shooter's Manifesto -- 14 Years' Prison for Sharing! Because hiding, rather than addressing, the motivation behind terror is sure to stop future attacks.

This is their procedure in some circumstances. They can't physically stop you from saying no and leaving the airport, but if you want to catch the flight, that's their policy.

fix your silly account password rules. There's no reason to prohibit using a previous password, especially when you prohibit using most symbols.

Certainly making no judgments on the truth of the reporting. If you're the subject of false allegations of this variety, I hope you seek an attorney for a libel suit.

I agree the problem shouldn't be ignored. I just have no idea if making the guy famous will embarrass or embolden him.

Question: Isn't making this guy famous probably what he wanted?

AmEx cardmember agreement says purchases during calendar year, nothing about posting. It also says I have to write to them to give them a chance to fix any disputes before I can sue them. Will do -- screwing someone out of status is worth significant $$$.

Screwed by on the credit card. Mileage waiver & bonus MQMs for spending over $25K denied because purchases last 3 days of the year "don't count," as they take time to post, despite year end statement at $25.1K, Cc:

Nope, updates always posted as they come. But with the federal gov't being closed, I don't expect many federal civil cases to move too quickly.
