I can't even trust the review anymore. A book with hundreds of 4.5 * reviews can be really bad. And I am a non-native English speaker so my standard is not high, I'm not asking for a Shakespear-level of writing, just some decent narrative.

I have read so many mediocre books lately courtesy of kindle unlimited 😒. How can some books even get published, I will never know.

Hi! I know your applications are open until the end of the month, but when will they re-open again? I have been really busy lately and feel like I wouldn't do my application answers justice, so I'm thinking if I should leave it until the next time.

Any of my Twitter friends ever experienced issues with Bootstrap dropdown navigation on Microsoft Surface laptop touch screen tablet mode? The nav opens when the user clicks on the menu, but any dropdown menu only flashes on the screen, then disappears.

It has given me direction & focus. Until I learned about Laravel, I was hopping from frontend to backend, from one framework to another, trying different tools. Laravel brought everything together. And while I don't use Laravel professionally right now, I hope I will soon again.

Around 10. Except for two nights ago, when I fell asleep at 8 🙂

Usually by 10pm. Two nights ago I fell asleep with the baby at 8, though 😀.

To clarify the mood - it's not all great, I usually get really tired by the afternoon and get snappy at the kids. But by that time I have done my work and to be honest, I'd get snappy anyway, so at least the work part is done 😀.

I have been waking up after 4am the past week to work before the kids wake up. I find the early mornings so peaceful, just me and the birds. Waking up this early really makes a difference to my day, my mood and my work performance.

A5: I care less than I should. My body always finds a way to let me know enough is enough but I need to not let it get that bad before I act. Screen time is one thing, but I need to do more exercise, and more doing nothing, in general. And feel ok about it.

I need new playlists. Tried Classical music, but haven't found the right mix. I do put it on when I'm feeling anxious, though. When I need to get s*** done, I put on some 90s rock 😎.

Doesn't a view equal distraction? It would for me 😀.

A3: Still don't have one. Some days it's the local coffee shop, some days it's my home office. My garden is also good, as long as it's not too sunny 😀. Have not worked out of co-working spaces much yet.

A2: Not tech related but my scooter 😂. It's so much more convenient than a bike, it's almost as fast, ideal for short trips around the village or the town. Love it!

A1: I'm Zuzana, a freelance web developer. I'm exhausted today, got up at 5 to do a couple of hours of work, before going to London, dealing with passport applications for my kids. Back home now, working again. That pretty much sums me up: Work, kids, kids, work.
