That aside, if you're unsure what title someone prefers, either 1) google them or 2) if they emailed you first, just use the name they signed off with. I sign off with Zayani so it's okay to call me that or 3) just start with a hi or hello. 💁‍♀️

It's interesting that whenever I email a company for a comment or interview request, they almost always reply with Mr Bhatt. They automatically assume I'm a man. 🙄

I find it interesting that Jewish and black Americans have kept their history very relevant with stories regularly released to remind us of the horrors they faced. But Indians? Nothing. No one, including Indian diaspora knows much.
