School should be a place where all young people feel safe and supported. There is more to a young person’s development than grades – and we want this to be reflected in Ofsted’s inspections

Our research show that almost half of teachers have taught a child they believe was suicidal. It’s time our education system prioritised wellbeing as much as exams

Right now Ofsted want your feedback on what makes an ‘outstanding’ school. A school shouldn’t be rated ‘outstanding’ if the wellbeing of students and teachers isn’t a priority. your views today as part of their consultation:

i had an incredibly tough time at school and felt like i had no support when i needed it most. there's a real opportunity now to change what makes a school 'successful' - write a message saying why you think they need to prioritise mental health!

Teachers shouldn’t have to sacrifice their own wellbeing to achieve an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. In Ofsted’s new inspections, there needs to be a whole-school approach to wellbeing

This is extremely close to my heart. It’s meant to be ‘the best days of our lives’ but for me and many others it was pretty hellish and there was no support. Would have been vastly different were this a reality. Please tell Ofsted to prioritise mental health in schools. 👇

have made something brilliant and eye opening here. We need to stop seeing anxiety and other mental health issues as inevitable factors of success in education. It’s not a measurement of hard work, it’s a failing on the part of the education system

The disconnect between what Ofsted reports look at and the reality of life in today's schools is stark. Watch this film to see why - then take action to what you think.

This powerful new film from asking what you’d like to is important. 6 in 10 autistic children say that the main thing that would make school better for them is their teacher understanding autism.

Really important Wise Up campaign in schools focussing on making wellbeing a priority in the Ofsted framework. We’re encouraging everyone to take action and what they think needs to change about school inspections.
