Wuhan poet Xiao Yin solicited photos of Chinese poets wearing face masks and received several hundred submissions. He posted them with his diaries on WeChat. Here are just a few.

Storytelling is important in times of crises, but it's not always easy. In the Wuhan lockdown, one person tried to post a diary on WeChat. It just wouldn't go through. The person spent 1.5 hours trying to figure out. In the end, one word was changed in the text & it worked.

In northern China, face masks are a shield against winter cold & later, smog. In Japan & Korea, celebrities may wear face masks as fashion. & in Chinese language, face masks literally mean "mouth cover" with no connotation of faking
