A very wet day for dry stone walling! Our field officer Peter showed our Tomorrow's Natural Leaders how to dismantle and prepare a wall for rebuilding. Part 2 will be showing how to build it, providing it doesn't snow! With 🦆💦

Inspiring meeting with colleague and 's Colin Newlands this morning, discussing our work in and around Ribblesdale. Then, on drive back to York, 8 majestic Icelandic Whooper Swans flew south over Ilkley against a leaden Dales sky. Beautiful. Pic HBW.

We believe Common Terns should have a place to nest in our landscape. To help them, we've floated 2 more rafts Ripon City Wetlands, safe from ground predators. Big thanks for funding & for helping! Tern pic M Ashforth

An amazing UAV pic of Ripon Loop NR by Chris Osbourne showing the River Ure cutting through the site and forming a new course of the river & a future oxbow. Nature in action! The blue line is the existing river course, the red shows the channel.
