Kay Petre (1903–1994) in 1938. She was an early motor racing star but career ended after bad crash. In she was a food writer & later a motoring journalist then designed fabric patterns for interior of the Mini. D 10 August 1994

Miss E E Verity often advertised Verity’s Motors in journal in 1950s. She trained Drivers for Forces in & as well as Civil Defence worker. Interwar, she managed Verity's Garage & Motor School. Joined Council 1945
