During the Holocaust, Irena Sendler was the driving force behind a critical operation to save 2,500 Jewish children. On her birthday, we remember the bravery of this Polish-Catholic woman. Imagine how many Shoah victims would have lived had there been more individuals like Irena?

Ahead of tomorrow’s annual Lukov March, honoring a Nazi collaborator, we thank Sofia’s Mayor for her order, once again, to ban the scheduled march in Sofia. These neo-Nazi commemorations are unethical and have no place in Bulgaria or anywhere in the world.

We are extremely concerned by recent and repeated neo-Nazi marches across Europe, united by an agenda of antisemitism, hatred, xenophobia, and Nazi glorification. These demonstrations must not be tolerated by any defender of democracy and tolerance. READ:

A MSNBC broadcast depicted the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising as a revolt against the Polish & Nazi regimes. The reality: Jewish resistance fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto fought against German Nazis. We call for a retraction of this false characterization.

Ahead of the Warsaw Conference on the Middle East, PA official Rajoub claimed there is an "Israeli Auschwitz to massacre Palestinians." This statement is unfounded. There is never a place for comparisons to Auschwitz.

General Hristo Lukov supported the deportation of 11,343 Jews to Treblinka Extermination Camp. Yet again, on Saturday, he will be honored by neo-Nazis in the annual Lukov March in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is outrageous in today's society.

Today is 13 years of the death of Ilan Halimi, a French Jew who was kidnapped and killed by a gang because he was Jewish. In another antisemitic incident, a tree planted in Paris in Ilan's memory was found chopped down this week. We call for targeted action against antisemitism.
