Brisk October evening.... already down to 48°F as the sun sets. Colors are still coming. This is my kind of weather 🙌🏻🍁🍂

Incredible to see this -- while such eyewall structure & mesovortices in the 👁️ are common in very intense typhoons & hurricanes in the Pacific and sometimes elsewhere in the Atlantic basin, that's not the case in the NW Gulf & making a beeline for the coast

Driving south on the 219 this morning. We’ve come across multiple plows working on removing snow... problem is the strong wind gusts keep blowing snow back onto the road.

We’re working our way through the tri-county area into Wyoming County where there is a Travel Advisory. Roads are significantly worse here, snow covered, with blowing snow limiting visibility at times.

We’re headed west on route 39 in Storm Tracker 2. A moderate snow band is currently moving through the area and winds have picked up. A few small drifts have developed on the side of the road too... we came this way before and roads have gotten worse.

These are the days I live for: being in the field, the elements, a community that’s been impacted by the weather. Even if that means standing on top of 15 feet of ice while being sprayed in the face by crashing waves. A day to remember!
