Thanks to for its rapid response to the wildfire at our Moss Valley Woodlands reserve, caused by an abandoned BBQ. Luckily it was dealt with before major damage was caused, but please remember not to light fires/BBQs on our reserves & if you see a fire call 999 immediately!

It's an infestation of larch woolly aphids on some of the larch trees in Strawberry Lee plantation - the woolly white covering is made of wax produced by the insect as a defense mechanism. Luckily, the damage inflicted on trees by adelgids is usually minor :)

What are they feeding on? Could be rose sawfly or bramble sawfly depending on what the bush is! :)
