Which is the problem. Logical endpoint is a mid-Wharfe council with Ilkley nd Otley and the villages to the North. Part of NYCC.

So, in Ilkley and Harrogate, we get a brexit that we didn’t support imposed on us.

Yep. And now we have to hope, with a good majority, Johnson will ignore the ERG and go for the ease of an EFTA deal.

What we have to hope is that the real stars of the regional press (like over here and the wonderful in Manc) never get their heads turned by the bright lights of Lunnon. Both prove national influence can come from strong local presence.

Boar Lane was NF territory. I was up at the West Indian Centre most weekends, so knew that area well.

When I cam to Leeds for college in 86, Boar Lane was the street we were most warned against going down. I loved it, but it was a bit rough. Come a long way

Detail of the BBC exit poll has Ilkley turning Tory but Leeds NW too close to call, which is VERY interesting--all the MRPs had it safe Labour.

An endorsement most of us could support (and, if you break the code, it clearly says 'vote Yorkshire Party')

Eventually it will mean business rate retention. In the short term it means flexibility and responding to local need. Manchester's educational improvement since they got local control of budgets (same cash tho) is pretty extraordinary
