I don't believe in playing nice. My father was a WWII vet who loved this country enough to fight for it. I am following in his footsteps.

DEVELOPING: FBI investigation, Goldman Sachs records reveal Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) personally directed his own stock trades — contrary to the brazen lies he's been telling for months.

I'm so sorry your darling Esther is sick. I'm glad you have a good vet to help you navigate her care. Hang in there.

Anyone who wants to understand the newly composed SCOTUS needs to take a hard and careful look at the full set of opinions released at midnight last night. They are very revealing—probably more so than they would be if the Justices had the benefit of more time for deliberation.

Right, when I go get a bottle of wine, hundreds of other customers and I stay side-by-side in the same room for an hour, signing loudly and shaking hands, right before we crack open the wine and all try a little bit of it right then and there. Brilliant point.

George Mason, delegate to Constitutional Convention, said in 1788 that a President should not have power to pardon because he might "pardon crimes which were advised by himself. It may happen, at some future day, that he will establish a monarchy, and destroy the republic."

I never knew the right to practice one’s religion extended to human sacrifice.

If Trump tries to “grant” himself a pardon, that’ll be the strongest possible argument for ’s DOJ to investigate all of Trump’s many federal crimes and prosecute them to the hilt, in part to establish the incompatibility of self-pardons with the Rule of Law.

Your religious views now give you the right to withhold the services of your business from people whose “lifestyle” you disagree with, withhold healthcare from women & attend superspreader events that let you infect your neighbors with a deadly virus.

I used work on the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade. One year we had high winds which resulted in a tragic accident. We were never allowed to fly balloons when the winds got above a certain MPH again in the interest of public safety. SCOTUS had less compassion than a parade.

Here’s a glimpse into a very long future: A dissent so irrefutable the majority should be embarrassed, but the majority has five votes even without John Roberts and they will lift a collective middle finger at suffering Americans and those trying to make things better.

To the extent the corrupt court majority pretends to “originalism” simply go back to the 1793 yellow fever epidemic in the then US capital of Philadelphia. None of the actual authors of the constitution bought this theory of the 1st amdt. Not a single one. And most were there.

I've led a fortunate life, much to be thankful for. I've been to 80 countries. Wherever I went I was thankful I lived in the U.S. where evils like autocracies & theocracies were impossible. Since 2017, we've discovered that's not so. Today's SCOTUS decision underscores that.

How would a president empowered to issue self-pardons be different than a king?
